We always do our best efforts to match you with live players with similar skills to yours. However, starting from November 2024 and following our research into how to provide the best possible experience to our players, we have introduced a new model where, when there are no players of the same skill level available, we match you with recorded game from real players who played in the past or we use the score of such players.
We do not use the actual user profile for generating this. Our algorithms are designed to establish the same game setup parameters for each player in the same match. Therefore, whether you are matched against a recorded gameplay of a real player or the live gameplay of a real player, you play under the same game setup parameters as every other player in the same match is facing or has faced.
If your score surpasses that of the other player(s) in the game, you will win the prize, regardless of whether your opponents were live players or past performances of actual players.
If the score of player's past performance wins a match, we will award back any accumulated excess winnings and disperse them back into the game economy.
This means that Game Story does not have a stake or interest in the outcomes of the tournaments.
We have further updated our Terms of Use and reflected this change on October 30, in Section 12 titled "Skill Matching".
